From the owner’s preference for gentle curvature, the design explores how soft, continuous lines shape both spatial experience and atmosphere. Curves act as a primary architectural language, guiding movement, softening boundaries, and leading the eye throughout the space. This is most evident in transitional areas like corridors, where ceiling forms and concealed lighting elongate perspective, creating a calm, almost meditative flow.
Lighting reinforces this softness through carefully integrated indirect illumination along curved surfaces. Light washes gently across walls and ceilings, producing a diffused glow that enhances depth while maintaining visual comfort. The result is a relaxed, intimate atmosphere with controlled, unobtrusive brightness.
A restrained palette of light wood and soft grey supports this concept. The warmth of timber is balanced by neutral tones, creating a calm, cohesive backdrop that allows form and light to take precedence.
In the main living areas, open planning is complemented by softened edges and minimal built-in elements, maintaining clarity while easing transitions between functions. Furniture and finishes remain understated, allowing the architecture to define the space.
Overall, the project explores the harmony of curve, light, and material, moving away from rigid geometry toward a fluid, refined, and quietly comforting living environment.
