This renovation project repositions an existing building as a series of rental office spaces, addressing both spatial reconfiguration and the quality of shared environments.
The ground floor is redesigned as a new reception lobby, while levels 2 to 5 focus on improving shared corridors and restroom facilities. The sixth floor is conceived as a flexible office environment, accommodating short-term rental and co-working use.
A key issue identified in the existing building was the misalignment between circulation and the relocated car park. The original main stair to the second floor was positioned in a way that obstructed movement between the parking area and the lobby. The intervention therefore reconfigures this sequence by relocating the stair to a more appropriate position, allowing a direct and unobstructed connection from the car park to the main entrance. This adjustment not only improves functional flow but also clarifies the spatial hierarchy of arrival.
On the sixth floor, the design adopts an open-plan layout to support a range of working modes. Enclosed rooms are introduced only where necessary, such as for meeting spaces, allowing the rest of the floor to remain adaptable. Emphasis is placed on achieving balanced daylight and maintaining a clean integration of building systems, ensuring that lighting, ceilings, and services are resolved in a clear and cohesive manner.
Across the project, the approach focuses on refining circulation, enhancing usability, and elevating the overall spatial experience through light, proportion, and restraint.
